Is this reefer freight or dry?
OK Depends on freight hauled and trailer pulled... I know reefers pulling for $3.25 a mile and Flats pulling for $2.50 mile and oversize with flag cars pulling for $6.00 mile so when asking rates then consider what ya pulling and who for for some offer fuel surcharge and most simply rip ya off and some foreget to pay... Then you ask if it is government freight which pays more or express freight and or LTL freight which pays even more so there are so many varibles... Then you go into location for is it on a well traveled lane with alot of available trucks or out in land of nowhere where ya pay alot of deadhead ??? YOU can name the rate YOU will haul for as well as THEY can list their rate they want to sucker you into...When they say $2.00 then if it is on a well traveled lane with alot of available trucks then you can take it knowing ya might have to sit longer if you don't but if it is out of normal lane of travel then take that $2 and boost it to $2.50 and you will get it depending on length of haul for if it is only a few hundred miles then go for $3 and you may be getting a load or atleast they come back with $2.75 or so...
